Raised in California, with training at both UCLA and California State University, she became a professional American Track & Field athlete. Flo-Jo achieved unsurpassed success by participating in the 1988 U.S. Olympic trials. In the Seoul Korea 1988 Olympics, she set world records in sprinting. Most notably, she also won three gold medals overall at those 1988 Olympics. Flo-Jo was also a well known pop-culture icon, periodic hollywood actress and clothes designer. She dazzled the world with sprinting uniforms that made her look like a superheroine and a style that mesmerized fans around the world.
