Description:
Make a statement in any room with this framed poster, printed on thick matte paper. The matte black frame that's made from wood from renewable forests adds an extra touch of class. This historically inspired Tharb Aworan framed print portrait celebrates Harriet Tubman (born Araminta Ross in March 1822), an American abolitionist and political activist. Born into slavery, Tubman escaped and subsequently made some 13 missions to rescue approximately more than 300 enslaved people, using the network of antislavery activists and safe houses known as the Underground Railroad. During the American Civil War, she served as an armed scout and spy for the Union Army. In her later years, Tubman became an activist in the Women's suffrage movement. Most enlightening about Harriet was that she truly demonstrated the same ideal that the American founding fathers aspired to. That was simply that she proclaimed herself free, always believing freedom was her "natural lot", and that no human had the right to take freedom , away from anyone.
